June
joined Ellenbecker Investment Group, Inc. in March of 2002 as the
Controller. She manages all of the company's financials, produces
financial reports and compiles the payroll. June handles all of
the health and life insurance for the company and researches new
employee benefits.
June has been active in the accounting field since 1962, when she
performed accounting services for the Madison Ice Arena. She became
personally involved with this organization through her husband who
designed the refrigeration system and was co-owner of the facility.
June studied at the International Accountants Society and became
associated with a CPA firm in Madison.
She and her husband moved to Milwaukee in 1967 to be closer to another
ice arena-oriented organization, of which her husband was co-founder.
In 1979 June started and operated her own computer accounting service,
specializing in restaurants. She operated this business for ten
years, at which time her husband passed away and she decided to
accept an offer from her largest client, an advertising and production
house firm, as their Controller.
June later worked for six years with the Bartolotta Restaurant Group,
Inc. as their Controller. She became involved from the ground up
with this company. After six years, she decided to semi-retire,
but the accounting field kept calling her back. Ellenbecker Investment
Group, Inc. is fortunate to have June working at the firm providing
updated accounting procedures and services. June is helping our
firm grow through her improvements to our systems, budgeting and
strong sense of small business intricacies.
June has many hobbies - and especially loves to sew, knit and make
specially designed baby quilts for friends and relatives. The most
recent interest in quilting is landscape designs and machine embroidery.
She resides with her character of a cat, Pandora who keeps her entertained.
